YOU CAN PLAN THESE BULBS NOW TO ENJOY COLOR IN THE GARDEN EXTRA EARLY

Types of flower bulbs
There are two types of flower bulbs: spring-flowering and summer-flowering bulbs. To enjoy color extra early in the year, you can get started with spring-flowering bulbs before the first frost. Choose different types of spring bloomers to enjoy different types of flowers every month of the year. So you don’t have to worry about a bare garden! When to plant?
You can plant those spring-flowering bulbs in the garden before the first frost has occurred. The best period for this is from September to December. As long as there has been no night frost, you can still plant flower bulbs in December. In any case, avoid planting flower bulbs during a period of frost or with extremely wet soil, because then the risk of the flower bulbs freezing or rotting is too great. Would be a shame!

What to plant?
To enjoy flowers in the garden early in the year, you can plant different types of spring bulbs. For example, snowdrops and winter aconites already grow in January. In February you can then enjoy crocuses, followed by daffodils in March. In April you can enjoy extra color, because many bulbs then bloom: tulips, hyacinths, fritillarias and grape hyacinths are then added to the list. In May, the Allium species are added.
